My class loved it.
I read it to my class and my kids LOVED it. The boys particularly liked the pigs playing tricks and two of my girls said that they loved the ending because they thought that the pig was going to have a trick played on him and then his family did something really nice..... Another child thought that the swimming lessons part was really funny ....all in all a BIG hit! I think Norman Childes has created a character that many children will identify with through their feelings of craving acceptance with peers, humor component and resolution.

Pigtasticaly fun, enchanting read!
I read this book to several classes of children aged between 3 to 6 years of age. The children thought it was hilarious and were engrossed in the delightful storyline and beautifully illustrated pictures. Every child will relate to this thoughtful story sharing morals, emotions and feelings. I highly recommend this book to Parents, teachers and children of all ages.

A Lot of Fun!
Entertaining for both adults and children. I read it to a group of children in my class. They really enjoyed the humorous illustrations and all of Percy's creative tactics to avoid getting dirty. They also connected with the kindness the other pigs showed Percy in the end. "That book was nice cuz the other pigs made him a bed." "I like when the pigs gave the play clothes to the other pig so he wouldn't get dirty."

Excellent book!
I purchased this book for 8 year olds - and they love it! It tells the story of a pig who doesn't like to be dirty and the problems she encounters because of it. The story is well told, and had both my children and me laughing aloud as we read. The book is also beautifully illustrated. It has soon become one of the favorite books on the shelf!

Can't Get Enough
My 3 year old daughter loves the illustrations of Mr. Childes. She just can't get enough of them. She wants to "read" the book over and over, getting absolutely giddy with each page.

This Pig is Priceless!
Loved it. I was always referring to my son as a pig because of how messy he is and how dirty he gets. But he thought Percy was kind of cool and now he's become a lot cleaner. So thanks for that Mr. Childes. And thanks for the fun read my son and I have had.
